We covered an awesome EDM mental health event, featuring DROELOE and local DJ artists, at Larimer Lounge. Open Door Sessions Denver, presented by Neon Owl, engaged with local producers and other music professionals in an intimate setting. The two-part event began with an afternoon music industry mixer and ended the night with an entourage of live DJ sets. It’s great to see the Denver community raising the bar for musicians and mental health awareness.

Industry Mixer & Musician Mental Health Panel
Open Door Sessions Denver kicked off early in the afternoon with a unique speed-dating-style industry mixer. The sparks were flying as aspiring talent became introduced to experienced professionals. A unique EDM mental health panel followed, featuring Dutch producer, DROELOE, along with Adam Stark, Jaenga, Nikademis, and Vndetta. The artists, sitting in a row on stage stools, shared the various mental health challenges they’ve overcome while on the path to fame and success in the music industry. Lots of personal anecdotes were exchanged providing an inside look into the various struggles many artists face. These shared experiences may help up-and-coming musicians (sitting among the small audience) improve their own mental health.
Feedback Forum, Mix Competition, and After Party
The evening progressed into a feedback forum where mixes were reviewed and discussed, along with a DJ mix competition. After the demo listening was were over, DROELOE and others mingled throughout the night at this one-of-a-kind EDM mental health awareness event. The night ended with a stellar after party complete with a series of live DJ sets, including Nikademis, Vndetta, Nikita Page, and more local EDM talent. The iconic Larimer Lounge provided the perfect digs for these unique Open Door Sessions events focused on musicians mental health.
